  • Tackling the Challenges of a Remote Workforce

Tackling the Challenges of a Remote Workforce More than just a software solution, the right giving platform offers the connection employees crave. The way we work is changing. Pre pandemic 11% of the U.S. labor force was working remotely. That number skyrocketed to 62% by April 2020. The acceleration of remote work for millions of employees across numerous industries and roles can be directly correlated with the Covid-19 global pandemics onset. Over the past year we have settled into our home offices and perfected our zoom meeting etiquette, but what felt like a major shift for some of us was already the norm for millions and counting. It’s safe to say that remote work is here to stay, whether it be full-time or offering flexible schedules. Half of the remote employees want to continue working from home after the pandemic subsides, either because they prefer the arrangement, have lingering concerns about COVID-19, or both. Two-thirds of employers are planning to offer a hybrid approach where individuals can work remotely, although half expect the employees to spend more of the workweek on-site.

  • Keeping Remote Workers Emotionally Invested

Introducing CyberGrants Ebook: Keeping Remote Workers Emotionally Invested How to improve employee engagement with your giving programs The COVID-19 pandemic changed the nature of work and the workplace — for many individuals and for some industries, forever. When pandemic lockdowns started, any reservations business leaders had about unshackling workers from the workplace became moot as entire offices emptied. Within weeks, more than half of the U.S. labor force was working remotely.  Nearly a year and a half after the first lockdown, it’s clear that remote work may be here to stay.  Half of remote employees want to continue working from home after the pandemic subsides, either because they prefer the arrangement, have lingering concerns about COVID-19, or both. Employers are prepared to meet them halfway with two-thirds of companies planning to offer a hybrid approach. While it’s clear that remote work remains popular amongst employees, there are challenges as well. In the middle of 2020, leaders at some of the largest businesses didn’t identify productivity, or managing workflows, or employee burnout as the top challenge they faced. The top challenge was “connection to our culture.”

  • Rethinking Employee Engagement

Rethinking Employee Engagement Using corporate social responsibility to engage and connect remote employees  Over the past several years, building a positive corporate culture has become increasingly important for companies around the globe, however, the shift to remote work in 2020 posed a threat to those efforts. As employees began working from home and communications shifted online, maintaining employee engagement became even more complex. “We all feel disconnected, and that leads to disengagement, but engagement increases when you feel part of something; part of a community,” says CyberGrants CEO, Mark Layden.
